The 14th EFORT Congress in Istanbul has just ended. Despite the events in Turkey, the Executive Board supported by the Turkish Orthopaedic Association, decided to go ahead with the meeting. A message was posted on the EFORT Website on Tuesday, 4th June 2013.
6.800 colleagues attended the meeting in Istanbul
200 scientific sessions took place supported by the Turkish Orthopaedic Association,the European National and Specialty Societies. Professors Jean Dubousset from France and Katsuro Tomita from Japan delivered outstanding honorary lectures. Many attendees from the guest nation Brazil (SBOT) and from the honoured region of Latin America (SLAOT) made the trip to Istanbul. The meeting was supported by more than 160 industry partners.
The EFORT Executive Board thanks all the participants and faculty for their great support and looks forward to meeting you all again in London, 4-6 June, 2014 at the 15th EFORT Congress.
