EFORT and The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery are delighted to announce a new open access journal to be launched in January 2016: EFORT Open Reviews.
All articles of EFORT Open Reviews are to be made available open access, with no subscription required and in addition, there will be online CME questions and certification.
The Editor-in-Chief of EFORT Open Reviews is Professor Pierre Hoffmeyer, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Head of the division of Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Trauma, Chair of the department of Surgery of the university Hospitals of Geneva, and director of the Academic department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva. He will be supported by a small group of Associate Editors and an International Editorial Board.
Indexing and Impact Factor
EFORT Open Reviews will be submitted to PubMed Central within the first few months of publication, along with the aim to secure inclusion in the PubMed database. Following this, all authors will benefit from their articles having a PMId within PubMed. later, EFORT Open Reviews will be submitted for indexing in Web of Science with a view to obtaining an Impact Factor.
The key sections of EFORT Open Reviews are hip, knee, foot & ankle, shoulder & elbow, wrist & hand, spine, trauma, oncology, children’s orthopaedics. sports injuries and arthroscopy.

There will be no Article Publication Charges (APCs) until 31st December 2015, and no APCs for delegates at the EFORT Annual Congress.
