Paediatrics Basic Course II – The 2nd EPOS-EFORT BAT Instructional Course to be held in October 2013 in Vienna

The second EPOS-EFORT IC which constitutes an integrated part of “EPOS BAT Educational Programme” that will take place at the Orthopaedic Hospital Speising, in Vienna, Austria from 9 to 11 October 2013.

The course is designed for General Orthopaedic Surgeons, particularly young ones, who want to improve their knowledge in Children’s Orthopaedics. The syllabus should contribute to knowledge-sharing and a further understanding of Children’s Orthopaedics.

The EPOS Educational Committee has set up “EPOS BAT Educational Programme”. The programme meets the demands required by the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT). The acronym BAT arises from Basic Advanced and Traumatology Courses. Three courses together constitute “EPOS BAT Educational Programme” and aim to facilitate a problem-solving approach in the diagnosis and management of orthopaedic conditions in children informed by relevant research evidence.

This Paediatrics Basic Course II will focus on disorders of the upper limb, disorders of the knee, musculoskeletal infections and spine. Lectures will be ensured by an international faculty composed by high level specialist from all over Europe.
