Based on systematic literature reviews, final EFORT recommendations for Introduction of innovations in artificial joint arthroplasty as well as Off-label use, Mix & Match and Mismatch could be developed during a consensus conference at Dresden University on 22-23 June 2021.

More than 70 clinicians, scientists, industry representatives, EFORT National Delegates and members of European Specialty societies participated in the working process and contributed with their expertise. The results of the consensus conference are currently condensed in a manuscript, and will soon be published in EFORT Open Reviews.

It remains applicable in all circumstances and doctors have an ethical duty to ensure they treat the injured and sick.
European Medical Organisations reaffirm that physicians’ safety at work is the basis of quality healthcare. European as well as international medical organisations observe that doctors and other health professionals, working in hospitals, general and private practice, are increasingly confronted with situations of violence, sometimes extreme, in their daily practice, outside any context of conflict.
