23rd EFORT annual Congress
|
Work submitted for the EFORT Congress next June is currently under review!
|
Each year, members of the worldwide O&T community share with EFORT thousands of abstracts with clinical and experimental results from different levels of scientific knowledge, as well as many systematic reviews.
For the upcoming 23rd EFORT annual Congress in Lisbon, the process of submission has now been closed and the online scoring by our trusted pool of expert reviewers is running.
On behalf of the EFORT leadership, we would like to thank all the abstract submitters for their active contribution to developing the 2022 scientific programme.
The submissions received within our three main categories are distributed as follows: Orthopaedics 59.2% // Trauma 33.25% // General Topics 7.55%.

On Monday 31 January 2022, all authors and co-authors will be notified about the acceptance status of their work.
To validate his/her work in the final scientific programme, the presenting author of each selected abstract must complete his/her full registration to the congress by Monday 28 February 2022 | 23:59 Central Europe Time (CET). Please consult the EFORT registration platform as of 10 January 2022 for further details on registration fees and attendance.

On Tuesday 18 January 2022 at 12:30 CET, the EFORT Industry Collaborative Webinar supported by G21 will focus on the evidence of current literature for the two-stage revision treatment for Periprosthetic joint infection of hip, knee and shoulder.
|

The objectives of this webinar are:
- Review on the current literature about the two-stage revision for the treatment of periprosthetic joint infection.
- Presentation and discussion of complex cases of periprosthetic joint infection treated with antibiotic loaded cement spacer.
- Prevention of mechanical spacer-associated complication related to the interval period of the two-stage revision
- Focus on cement mechanical properties and antibiotic elution.
It will be chaired by Pietro Cavaliere and Giuseppe Porcellini, Italy.
