A good abstract […] has “meat on the bone”!*
We would like to thank all those authors who have submitted one or more abstracts and we are proud to announce that the submission numbers have picked up. The 2,500 submitted abstracts let us predict a promising attendance.

To highlight the best of O&T, accepted papers will be made available in several formats: from the well-established poster presentation over to the Best National Papers. Not to forget the online presence within the EFORT App and eScience platform.
Further, the free paper sessions are the perfect place to gain recognition and reward for your personal investment in improving projects and research within musculoskeletal health.
The daily organised poster walks during the congress create a conducive atmosphere for exchange between you and experts. You may have asked yourself if your chosen topic will resonate as much to the rest of the community as it does to you: air your doubts because behind your hard work, it will be confirmed that your outcomes raise attention when presenting onsite.
As an author with accepted abstract(s) you are invited to register by the 28 February 2023 at the latest. Remember, by booking early enough you will benefit from the best rates for hotels and lodging. See you all in Vienna!
*Full quote: “A good abstract is an abstract that has facts in it that has “meat on the bone!” – Prof. Pierre Hoffmeyer, Editor-in-Chief EFORT Open reviews EOR, VEC 2020.

EFORT Robotic Travelling Fellowship
supported by Stryker
Fellow shares his valuable experience from his visit to the Benelux region
The EFORT Robotic Travelling Fellowship Programme, supported by Stryker, was resumed at the end of 2022 after 2 years of pause due the Covid pandemic.
In November and December 2022, Dr. Andreas Fontalis travelled across the Benelux region to visit five different sites: Hospital Robert Schuman in Kirchberg (Luxembourg) ; AZ Delta in Roeselare (Belgium); AZ Alma Hospital in Eeklo (Belgium); Reinier Haga Orthopedisch Centrum in Zoetermeer (Netherlands) and St Antonius Hospital in Utrecht (Netherlands)
According to him, this fellowship allowed him to explore the utility of robotic-arm assistance in arthroplasty and witness the advantages offered to orthopeadic surgeons including individualised, reproducible and accurate component positioning.
Find out how he was able to gain invaluable clinical and academic experience in our centres of excellence while reading his report as an EFORT Robotic Travelling Fellow.
